Privacy Policy

This policy describes the ASTER APPS public website and the VIDEO/CLIP SCOUT desktop workflow. The website is informational: it is not a cloud account portal, and it does not ask for social-platform login credentials.

1. Who operates the service

ASTER APPS is an independent desktop software project. For privacy requests, account-connection questions, or content complaints, contact asterfoxygame@gmail.com. The operator of this website and the distribution of this desktop application are responsible for the processing described below.

2. Information the desktop application processes

• Clip details: publicly available Twitch clip IDs, clip URLs, titles, broadcaster names and handles, thumbnails, timestamps, game details and quality scores.
• User-entered information: selected clips, descriptions, social-network selections, scheduling options and publishing preferences.
• Video media: source clips downloaded for preparation, and locally generated 9:16 MP4 files, where available and permitted.
• Connected accounts: platform access/refresh tokens and OAuth client information supplied or authorized by the operator, plus upload identifiers, platform responses and publication statuses.
• Operational records: local application configuration, upload attempts, errors and a limited publishing history.

The broader ASTER APPS package contains other optional modules, which may process additional information when enabled. Review their configuration and any applicable disclosures before using them with real user data.

3. Why this information is used

To discover and display gaming clips, allow the operator to review and organize them, prepare video files, authenticate connected social accounts, publish videos at the operator's request or according to an enabled schedule, prevent certain duplicate submissions, and troubleshoot errors.

4. Where information is kept

VIDEO module clip lists, descriptions, account settings and publishing history are stored in local application data on the computer running ASTER APPS. Connected social credentials are stored locally in encrypted form using AES-256-GCM and a separate local key file. Because that key is stored on the same machine, device access and backups must also be protected. Prepared video files are saved locally. This informational website does not collect those desktop-app records or tokens.

5. Data shared with third parties

When a feature is used, the desktop application may contact Twitch for publicly available clip information or source media, and may send authorized video content, captions and account-related requests to selected external destinations such as YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and VK. Each destination processes information under its own privacy policy and terms. No external platform automatically receives content just because the website was opened.

Social account authorization may take place on the platform provider's own sign-in page. We do not request that users disclose their social-platform passwords on this website.

6. Website cookies and server logs

The public ASTER APPS website uses no analytics scripts, marketing pixels, account registration, or tracking cookies. The web server or hosting provider may process essential connection information (such as IP address, requested URL, timestamp and browser details) for delivery, security and troubleshooting. We do not use such information for targeted advertising.

7. Retention and deletion

Local VIDEO module data remains on the device until changed or removed by the operator. The module can remove clips from its active list and delete their prepared local media; it may retain a local exclusion record so those clips are not automatically added again. Disconnecting a social account removes the saved account connection and its user access tokens from the VIDEO module. Developer OAuth client settings may remain stored locally until separately removed. Disconnecting does not erase posts already published on that social network. Locally stored backups and third-party copies may require separate deletion.

8. Security

We use application-local encrypted credential storage and avoid exposing social tokens through this website. No software or network transmission can guarantee absolute security. Keep your operating system, backups, credentials and application installation secure.

9. Children

ASTER APPS is intended for adult operators. We do not knowingly use this website to collect personal information from children.

10. Changes and questions

This policy may be updated as the application's functionality or provider requirements change. The effective date above identifies the latest published version. Questions: asterfoxygame@gmail.com.
